The external numbered dial makes repeating settings trivially easy. If you're not chasing light-roast perfection, save £30 and get the JX-S.
The C3 ESP PRO is here because sometimes £80 is the budget and that's that. The ESP variant's finer adjustment steps make it usable for espresso in a way the standard C3 isn't. Grind quality genuinely competes with electrics at £150-200. The compromise is speed (30 seconds vs 20 for the 1Zpresso) and effort (the smaller burrs require more rotations).
The Smart Grinder Pro is the floor for acceptable electric espresso grinding. Below this price, electric grinders don't have the adjustment precision or burr quality for espresso. The 60 settings and digital timed dosing make it convenient, and it pairs naturally with Sage machines. But be honest with yourself: a £130 JX-S produces a better grind than the £200 Smart Grinder Pro. You're paying for the convenience of not hand-grinding, not for better coffee.
